HBG Throwback - Lost notes from the craft beer breakfast

Since we're well on our way to selling out our next awesome beer event, this seems like a good time to revisit the great times we had at the HBG Craft Beer Breakfast earlier this year. We provided the attendees with notecards and asked them to take notes on the beers so that we could post them to the site. Unfortunately, most people didn't participate. Hopefully this will change for the third anniversary party, where we will definitely be calling on all of you to help us again. Perhaps these gems should be used as inspiration...

The First Ever Hoosier Beer Geek Breakfast was a blast. Thanks to everyone that came out. Because of what seemed to be a very happy and enthusiastic crowd, we'll be doing this again.

The Hoosier Beer Geek Craft Beer Breakfast - Last Minute Info

We've got some details for those of you attending this Saturday's Hoosier Beer Geek Craft Beer Breakfast at Brugge Brasserie.

1) The Manchester United / Liverpool match will be Tivo-delayed. If you walk in the door already knowing what has happened in the first half, we ask that you please keep that information to yourself. Don't be that guy (or gal).

2) There will be limited quantities of "bonus beer" in addition to the already announced lineup.

3) There will be giveaways of stuff we've received as gifts from the folks at Cavalier Distributing. I've also heard a rumor of a hop sack giveaway from the folks at Kahn's.

4) Although you've already got your tickets, we do expect you to tip your waitstaff.

5) We will be selling our latest t-shirts. $15. Cash only. We'll try to have change.

6) We will be placing notecards on the tables, and asking that those interested parties leave notes or reviews or comments, which we will later publish on this site.

I think that's it! See you at 10AM Saturday, at the Brugge upstairs space.

HBG Craft Beer Breakfast SOLD OUT

So after 12 days of availability, we've sold out our first Hoosier Beer Geek Craft Beer Breakfast. I'd like to say thanks to those of you who bought tickets, and also let you know that they'll be a few pleasant surprises in the mix. Because with HBG, there are usually surprises.

We want to continue to put on events like this, and the overwhelming support for this breakfast is proof that we're on the right track.

So thanks! We'll see you there!

Important Beer Breakfast Announcement

The Manchester United vs Liverpool match advertised as part of our Craft Beer Breakfast (Saturday, March 14th, 10 AM, Brugge Brasserie) will not be shown live - as it turns out the game has been moved to the earlier 7:45AM timeslot. That's too early to drink.

So instead of watching Man U/Liverpool live, we'll be watching the game on a tape delayed feed.

HBG Craft Beer Breakfast - The Inquiry

You're probably aware that we're putting on a little breakfast shindig on March 14th, 10 AM, at Brugge Brasserie. You might wonder what our plans are exactly. As of right now, we're thinking a regular (steak and eggs, maybe?) breakfast with a sampling (four ounce pours, maybe?) of breakfast-able beers - probably coffee stouts and the like. For the footy fans, we'll have Manchester United versus Liverpool that morning, so you've got even less excuse to stay home. All this at a reasonable price - at least comparable to what you'd normally spend for beer and food at Brugge.

What we'd really appreciate right now from our readers is any suggestions you might have - suggested beer.. anything's fair game - as well as a vote in the attendance poll in the right column. We're trying to figure out demand, so your vote is very important.

This should be a pretty cool little event and your suggestions are appreciated.
