Random Beer Roundup - The Snakes are Driving me Crazy Edition

Top o' the mornin' to ya.  If you are gearing up to celebrate St. Patty's Day in Indianapolis, you may be interested in Jason's article in Metromix this week.

Tailgate for Nothing 4 has been set and reset and will now take place on May 7th (same place and time as always).  Really, it was the only option.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  We hope you can join us.

Don't forget to start your drinking an hour early on Saturday night, for you will lose one as Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday.

If there is something coming up that is not listed, we would love to hear about it. News, reviews, info, etc., to share for our next Random Beer Roundup can be submitted to hoosierbeergeek@gmail.com. Don't see your favorite craft beer establishment? Let them know you'd like to see them here! Work for an establishment that serves craft beer? We want to hear from you too!

Brugge Pilsner is on!

From Andrew at Ram Brewery in Indianapolis/Fishers:

Shenanigan’s Irish Coffee
On March 17th, your RAM Restaurant and Brewery has just what St. Patrick would want on his big day. Not only will we have the malty overtones of Ole St. Mick’s Irish Red on tap, but we are also going to release Shenanigan’s Irish Coffee, which blends our seasonal Irish Red with a pleasant dose of Hubbard and Craven’s locally roasted coffee beans. This bombshell will be tapped at both locations at 1 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, and it will be for a limited time only. (In house only - no growlers) Enjoy!

RAM Small Ale Competition
Thank you to all of our entrants! We are excited to announce that we received 47 entries from 35 different brewers or brewing groups. There are going to be a lot of great beers to taste, and it will be a hard choice for our elite judging panel. Keep an eye out in early April to find out who gets to brew their beer with us.

Six years ago, Hildegard discovered how hoppy life can be when she brewed the first Belgium-style IPA. What does that mean exactly? And who is HIldegard? Ask Urthel.

In a 12th century structure with an Italian goddess in the courtyard and brewing ingredients fresh from the castle's kitchen garden...yup, that's how the Thornbridge brewers craft their British beers, including Jaipur, an IPA worthy of the Italian goddess on the bottle.
