I guess this is an annual tradition now.

  2. My host requested "something hoppy" so we'e got a bottle of Three Floyds Dreadnaught, and a bottle of Two Brothers Heavier Handed IPA - but we're also bringing Avery 15 (ale brewed with spices, herbs, and figs) , Avery 16 (a saison), and then the random bombers I didn't get to at Tailgate for Nothing - 3Fs/Dogfish Popskull, Hebrew 13, Boulevard Smokestack Two Jokers, and maybe some Lost Abbey stuff.

For HBG Thanksgiving, I've finally found a bottle of Bruery Autumn Maples (Belgian Brown with yams, molasses, maple syrup and spices) and we'll also be bringing more of the random.

This year it's not as much about pairing as getting rid of beer.

  14. The household tradition is to have a big afternoon meal at Vietnam Kitchen, a restaurant in Louisville. Great Vietnamese food, but not too much of a beer list, so I've waited until returning home to tear into a growler of NABC Solidarity, our seasonally released Baltic Porter.

  15. Just finished a growler of Teddy Bear Kisses with some help. Got some strange looks from the family. After finishing this glass I am going to have my first Sierra Nevada Celebration of the year. Happy Holidays!!!

  16. Just like Jim, I rocked a NG Raspberry Tart during dinner. Also similar results with the family as well.

Since I'm thankful for New Glarus being so awesome, I popped an Old English Porter and a Cran-bic. I'm thinking of having a night cap with an '06 BCS or an Imperial Stout Trooper.
