From the Brewers

From Shane at Daredevil Brewing Co:

Last weekend we had a great time meeting people at two events. The first event we attended was an Indiana Beer Dinner hosted at Chef JJ's Back Yard and the second was Fisher's on Tap hosted by the Fishers Rotary Club. These were great Indiana beer events where we saw great food and craft beer pairings.  Stay tuned for our future events and follow us on our Twitter and Facebook pages to keep up.
We have added many new locations in the following cities since our last Random Beer Roundup in January: Bloomington, Carmel, Charlestown, Columbus, Evansville, Greenwood, Indy, Jeffersonville, Lafayette, Muncie and Terre Haute.  There are now more than sixty locations to find our beers across central and southern Indiana.
Some of the new locations include the following, for a full list check our website.

Thank you to all those brewers and keg monkeys who bring us their love in a keg!
At Patrick's on tap we currently have 3 Floyds Alpha King Pale (an IPA by any other name), Sun King turned us on to one of their 1/2bbls of Jungle Room, so it's the freshest beer on tap at the moment!, then there is also the Sun King Repliale (English strong ale), Bloomington Brewing Co's Java Porter (made a float out of some for a new guest on Saturday)(she's hooked), Gulden Draak Quad, at 11% abv. our highest at the moment...The new brewery Rivertown in Cincy sent us their IPA it's called Hop Baron, we're representing with Triton's Railsplitter IPA as well.  Then there is the Bell's Rye APA called Smitten, and for the lager lovers we've tapped 3 Floyds Jinxproof...North Coast's Brother Thelonius is a tasty treat for these chilly evenings also.  Our beer list on line may be slightly behind this update but you can check us out at www.patrickskitchen.com.

    Beer Events/Fundraisers

Bloomington Craft Beer Week (BCBW), culminating with the third annual Bloomington Craft Beer Fest on Sat. April 13.

You are invited to take part in the first ever Bloomington Craft Beer Week (BCBW), culminating with the third annual Bloomington Craft Beer Fest on Sat. April 13. With support from the Brewers of Indiana Guild, we are hoping to get local restaurants, bars, breweries, retailers, and beer lovers involved with BCBW during the week of April 6-13.
Here are details for how you can get involved:
    - Dates for BCBW events: April 6-13 – culminating with the Bloomington Craft Beer Fest on April 13.
-Local organizations are encouraged to design their own events for BCBW.
-We want a focus on our fantastic Indiana beer heritage and growing industry.
-Possibilities include some of the ideas below - but it's all up to you.  If you have events scheduled for the week feel free to make them part of BCBW.  (I'm personally hoping for an Indiana IPA event - oh yes!)
    • Bloomington/Indiana tap takeovers
    • Educational events
    • Retail specials
    • Brewer meet-n-greets
    • Special beer pairing menus
    • And more!
    - You can participate on an individual day or all week - no limits but we hope you will join us for a week of fun beer celebration!
We plan to have BCBW events each day leading up to BFest.  Please think about how and when your organization can participate and feel free to respond to me directly via email or call/text me at 812-340-6223.  I plan to follow-up within the next week or so.
Oh yeah - did I mention a totally sweet iPhone and Android app?  BCBW participating organization will be able to publish details about each event (including date, time, location (with map) and event details) and attendees will even be able to check in to your events!
    Thanks,
    Terry Durkin - 812-340-6223 - terry@terrydurkin.com
