Goose Island Sofie - "Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in wine barrels with orange peel, Sofie is tart, dry, sparkling ale. From Joe at Payless Liquors on 96th Street:
How cool would it be to get a mini-keg for $15 cheaper than normal? Thought you'd say that. Rogue Yellow Snow IPA 5L kegs are on sale for $30 down from the original $45 starting Friday. If a double IPA is more your speed rumor has it that we will be getting a few bottles of Bell's Oracle. Very limited release. Sold as singles. It will be hidden away from the public. Should you desire one of these bottles simply approach an employee and tell them you are looking for a jive turkey. they'll know.
If you don't want hops or secrets may I recommend the Clipper City Summer Ale. It's lovely. Or Long Haul Session Ale from Two Brothers. You can drink it. Lots of it. And not feel bad. Badly. Because it's that good.
And if dark is what you crave then ask about some special imperial stouts that have been tucked away in the store for two years making themselves pretty just for you. Seriously. Pretty. For you.
