Random Beer Roundup - The Countdown Edition

HBG 4th Anniversary tickets are on sale now.

We had a great time last weekend in Madison and we hope to have some pictures up soon. We tasted some great beer and hopefully we can convince some of those breweries to join us for one of the next few festivals here in Indy.

If there is something coming up that is not listed, we would love to hear about it. News, reviews, info, etc., to share for our next Random Beer Roundup can be submitted tohoosierbeergeek@gmail.com. Don't see your favorite craft beer establishment? Let them know you'd like to see them here! Work for an establishment that serves craft beer? We want to hear from you too!

What's Brewing

From Greg at Lafayette Brewing Co. in Lafayette:
On tap this week at Lafayette Brewing Co.: Star City Lager; Prophet's Rock Pale Ale; East Side Bitter; Pipers' Pride Scottish Ale; Tippecanoe Common Ale; Eighty-Five; Black Angus Oatmeal Stout; I Am An American IPA; and we'll be releasing our latest specialty beer, Oatis Brown, on Saturday. This malty brown ale was brewed with 12% oats in the grist lending a creamy viscosity to the beer.
Other highlights at LBC: We've been spotlighted in a local publication, Lafayette Magazine, in regards to the craft beer renaissance in Greater Lafayette. The article is a fantastic tribute to LBC, and also explores the current craft beer scene in the Lafayette area. And how about that handsome devil on the cover? http://www.lafmag.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?category=LAFMAG
On another front, we'll be releasing an updated menu this coming Sunday, August 22. Look for some new favorites including our Spicy Shrimp Tacos and the LBC Cheese Steak.

From Andrew at Ram Restaurant and Brewery in Indianapolis/Fishers:
Be sure to come out to try our new seasonal on tap, Aries American Wheat.

Also, Oktoberfest season is right around the corner. Join The RAM for our special beer release at our Fishers Location at S.R. 37 and 126th St on Tuesday, September 7th. Tilberg's Dutch is delicious and disturbing, just like the label promises.
