Knights of the Beer Roundtable
My good friend at Four Square #266 has suggested that I consider hosting a weekly "Beer Roundtable". Myself and two fellow beer snobs (of course, he suggests he be permanently be one of the two, and I'm ok with that) come together and choose a new beer each week to drink and rate, then post our results here. Is there a third out there who care to join us for beer drinking? I have a feeling that, with football season now here, the best time for the roundtable is during a game.

Notre Dame games would be a good time. GO IRISH!
ReplyDeleteUnless my Vols are playing - which takes priority over all other teams. Go Big Orange!
ReplyDeleteYes, um, that could be a problem.
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I could commit on a weekly basis, but I'd definitely be interested.
ReplyDeleteJim, you can come into the rotation. I guess we could do a guest in the third spot every week, rotating through them? What do you all think of Chairman's as one of our regular meeting spaces?
ReplyDeleteCool, but forgive me for being dense - What's Chairman's?
ReplyDeleteChairman's is the premier cigar shop in town. It's located a little south of Giest, at 11653 Fox Road. They have a backroom with great leather couches, a poker table, a big screen, and free booze for you to enjoy while you smoke your stogie.
ReplyDeleteIf you wouldn't mind a female perspective every now and again, I'd love to join you.
ReplyDeletekaj - it's the female perspective that drives me to drink beer, so that means if we have a female perspective at the roundtable, i have an excuse to drink more beer (see, that's the male perspective). so in other words, welcome aboard!
ReplyDeletejason266 - let's devise a system for the rotating guest tonight.
all - our first roundtable is scheduled for this evening. we will be rating Sapient Tripp Ale from Dark Horse. Jason266 and I will be joined by Colleen (aka Jackson's Mommy) this evening.
excellent! I look forward to participating and driving the men in the group to consume more. You know, for the sake of, uh, a more thorough analysis.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good plan. Just let me know when it's my turn for the roundtable.
ReplyDeleteI'm there!
