Random Beer Roundup - The Post Vacation Blues Edition


Have you seen the calendar for the next couple weeks?  It is insane.  Everyone will need to bring their A game.  Besides, you all need to prepare for the holidays, right?  Below is just a sample of the cool events coming up in the next two weeks.

- 11/18 - Poppaskull (Three Floyds/Dogfish Head) Release Party at Brugge
- 11/21 - Brew Masters Viewing Party at Brugge
- 11/22 - Three Pints Brewpub opens (dinner) in Plainfield
- 11/24 - Tomlinson Tap Room opens in City Market, Indianapolis

And that's not all.  We think there may be a new brewery opening in that time too.  We'll let you know when we hear for sure.

Half Moon has an oatmeal stout coming out on Thursday, Nov. 18th.
Steel Curtain Stout - O.G.=1.065 ABV=5.75% IBU=30

We installed a new 150 bbl fermentation tank on Tuesday that we've christened Gigantor! He's twice the size of our other tanks and will allow us to keep up with growing demand from craft beer lovers like you. Gigantor is actually taller than the brewery, so you can see it sticking out of the roof from the parking lot. (And no, that wasn't a measuring mistake, it was part of the plan.) Stop by between 3 and 5pm Saturday or Sunday to take a tour and check it out!

Bells Winter White- offers a lighter yet abundantly flavorful alternative to the traditional heavy winter warmers. Fermented with a Belgian ale yeast, this blend of barley & wheat malts yields a mixture of clove and fruity aromas, all without the use of any spices.

Bluegrass Brewing Company Bourbon Barrel Stout- A Silky American Stout delicately aged in 2005 Bourbon barrels for approximately 60 days. The malt sweetness is perfectly balanced by the roast barley and a nice hint of bourbon flavor and aroma. The bourbon barrel stout was first brewed December 22, 2005

- Class 1 - Friday, Nov 19, 6:00 - 9:30 pm
- Class 2 - Friday, Dec 3, 6:00 - 9:00 pm
- Class 3 - Friday, Dec 10, 6:00 - 9:00 pm

The classes are designed to be taken in sequence and to take all 3 of them and get your Beer MBA Certificate. Class 1 is a prerequisite for the other 2 classes, so once you have taken it, you can take the other classes in a future series if you have date conflicts.
