Cutters Brewing in Avon
The brewery will operate under normal hours this week, 1-5 pm Saturday/Sunday and until 6 pm during the week.

Special Events:
On Monday, March 17, come celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a brand new Cutters beer, Redline Amber Ale, at The Brockway Public House in Caramel. This is a beer specially made for CuttersRT, a racing team that is attempting to enter a fully funded non-corporate car into the Indianapolis 500 operated by Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing. They'll have a car on site and will be there to chat with anyone interested around 3:30. You can even find out how to get your name on a car in the Indy 500!
On March 26, Cutters will be taking over the taps at The Sinking Ship in Broad Ripple. Tap list will be announced soon, so keep an eye on our Facebook page.

Indiana City
For the St. Patty's Day weekend, we'll have Irish Hill Red Ale on tap. It's a traditional Irish Red with sweet malt and subtle hops. It's 4.5% ABV and 14 IBU. Irish Hill is the neighborhood we're in which gets it's name from the earlier days of Indy when this part of the city was quite literally the Irish neighborhood. Brew footage:

7.0% ABV • 68 IBUA beer for the brightest of days and the blackest of nights. Black Lantern combines dark roasted malt flavor with bright herbal, earthy pine hop aroma. Its well-balanced and aggressively dry-hopped.

MIMI'S TABERNACLE

We brewed Mimi’s Tabernacle with pure maple syrup, chocolate and oats. Then we infused it with locally roasted coffee beans and aged the finished beer in a Kentucky bourbon barrel. The end result is a rich barrel-aged Breakfast Stout with a smooth bourbon finish. Mimi would love that this bold, expressive beer is named in her memory.

Thanks to everyone who made it out to the brewery last night (3/11) for the announcement. Check out our recaphere. If you missed it, Indy Eleven announced our new partnership with the team. Attached is our official press release for the partnership. Please feel free to share it. With this partnership, Flat 12 will be official local craft beer of Indy Eleven in 2014 and available at the sporting venue’s concession. The brewery will also partner with Indy Eleven’s avid supporter group,The Brickyard Battalion, to build and celebrate that community of supporters and its team.
Black Acre Collaboration Beer Release:
First up this Thursday (3/13) is the release of the collaboration beer between Black Acre brewers and ours. The beer is appropriately named Crap Shoot Indiana Common for the Kentucky Common beer style. However, the collaboration process was anything but common. To determine the ingredients for this beer the brewers sat down to a game of dice and let the odds determine the fate of the recipe. The result is this week’s beer thirty release. Reel-to-Reel:
Following the beer thirty release is this month’s Reel-to-Reel. If you have not attended one of these events yet be sure to mark your calendars for this one. IU Libraries Film Archives will be here with a selection of the best of their 48,000+ retro educational films on 16mm complete with projector to give it that old school feel. The topics range from grooming to dating, to drugs and alcohol, and as you can imagine, are comical by today’s standards. Upland will be pouring the beer this year. The silly run begins with a toast and 3 ounces of Upland Wheat . You then enjoy another Upland beer each kilometer (give or take a few meters). When you finish, you receive your medal and a pint-glass of Upland. Several varieties available.

Upland Brewing Company Sour + Wild + Funk Fest
Tickets for the third annual Upland Brewing Company Sour + Wild + Funk Fest will be on sale at www.uplandsourfest.eventbrite.com on March 10. This year's festival will take place Saturday, May 17th from 2pm-6pm at the historic Indianapolis City Market, preceded by a VIP Sour lecture and private tasting from 12:30-1:30pm, and with a Secret Barrel Society members-only party to follow in the building's catacombs from 7pm-9pm. For more information on our Secret Barrel Society, check out secretbarrelsociety.comVIP tickets can be purchased for $75, and will include VIP lecture, lanyard, commemorative T-shirt, swag bag and access to the VIP lounge including food and private bathrooms.
General Admission tickets are $45 and include light snacks, with the City Market's artisans open to sell heavier fare throughout the festival.
