What's Brewing
From Skip at Alcatraz Brewing Co. in Indianapolis:
Alcatraz currently has Big House Red and newly tapped Conjugal Visit Hefeweizen on tap as seasonals. Also as a reminder I will be tapping my Penitentiary Pilsner on December 16th at 6:30pm.

From Sara at Bloomington Brewing Co. in Bloomington:
The clock is ticking away minutes until Bloomington Brewing Company finally releases its historical Batch 1000, named "Ole Floyd's Belgian Dark Strong Ale" to pay respect to Brewer Floyd Rosenbaum's dedication to creating over 75% of the brewery's 1000 batches of ale.

Lennie's, located at 1795 E. 10th Street in Bloomington, hosts the release of Ole Floyd's Belgian Dark Strong Ale. The special celebration, named "1000 Batch Bash," kicks off Pubside
(on 12/15) at 5 p.m.  Lennie's Chef Fred Manion will offer a special menu available during 1000 Batch Bash. Dishes include mussels and more.

From Greg at Lafayette Brewing Co. in Lafayette:
On tap at Lafayette Brewing Co. this weekend: Star City Lager; Prophet's Rock Pale Ale; Tippecanoe Common Ale; Eighty-Five; Black Angus Oatmeal Stout and this year's Christmas Beer- Vanilla Porter. We should also have Pipers' Pride Scottish Ale back on tap on Saturday. Big Boris Barleywine is the next seasonal release which is set for New Year's Eve. It will be followed by our Snow Daze IPA on Saturday, January 8.

Speaking of Big Boris Barleywine: We recently received TTB approval for our new Big Boris label. We're rushing to get labels printed in hopes to get some of this year's version into 22 oz. bombers. Stay tuned for more progress reports.

***Winter Warmer Tickets go on Sale at the Pub on 12/11. They go FAST!***
From Jerry at Rock Bottom (Downtown) in Indianapolis:
My specialty beer currently on tap are:
Buffalo Gold
Naughty Scot-Wee Heavy
Gummy Gummerson-dry-hopped wheat ale
Tapped Old Curmudgeon Thur - Imperial/Double Red ale...I don't know what to call it? It's a strong ale that is red and ridiculously hopped!

From Charles at Upland Brewing Co. in Bloomington:
Sour ales reserved last week are available for pickup at the Bloomington Tap Room through Dec. 22. See you there!

Upland is teaming up with Agio and Saint Michelle Wines for a beer and wine paired dinner on December 14th. Call Agio at 317-488-0359 to reserve your seat!

At the Bar
From Corrie at Goose the Market in Indianapolis:
It's only prime twice a year and the rumor (or sticke) is that the German master brewer tipped the scales with this altbier. What's in that cool shaped bottle? It's Uerige Sticke time!
Supposedly Goethe lived on a strict Köstritzer Schwarzbier diet for some time. Mmmm, German black beer for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Now who wants to name his dog Mephistopheles?

What's 100+60? That's right...it's 10,000. The last of the series, this Bell's Batch 10,000 is big and bitter with 100 different "fermentables" (malts, grains, and the mysterious etc.) and 60 different hops. The Goose has got 'em on the singles shelf.
From Stuart at MacNivens in Indianapolis:
Goose Island Bourbon County Stout, on draught Friday December 10th at 5:00pm.
