From Skip at Fountain Square Brewing in Fountain Square, Indianapolis:
Put Oct. 6th on your calendar for the biggest party ever in Fountain Square.  We will be tapping our “Hop Your Face” Imperial IPA along with showcasing 4 bands starting at 2pm.

Our first “Hop Your Face”!  This annual Imperial IPA is aggressively hopped with four different hops and loaded with a complex mix of malts.  Might as Well add dry hops so over 2 pounds per barrel of hops were added to enhance the aroma.   When Push Comes to Shove, this 9.5% brew may drive you to Hell in a Bucket, but at least you’ll enjoy the ride.

From Greg at Lafayette Brewing Co. in Lafayette:
Lafayette Brewing Co. will be once again be running the Colonial Tavern at the 45th Annual Feast of the Hunters Moon this Saturday & Sunday at Fort Quiatenon Park in West Lafayette, IN.  Enjoy the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of an 18th centurty French-Indian trading post on the banks of the Wabash River.  Visit our 18th century frontier brewing demonstration and sample some of last year's Feast brew.  We'll also be serving up plenty of fresh LBC brews from the tavern, including our Star City Lager and Star City Oktoberfest.  Alcohol service runs from noon until 5 pm on Saturday and noon until 4 pm on Sunday.  For more info on the Feast, visit:  http://www.tcha.mus.in.us/feast.htm

From Mike at Brew Bracket:
Brew Bracket Bourbon Barrel Aged Beer Tournament (BBBourbon)

What makes this one special:
The beers are aged in bourbon barrels from Harrison Bourbon. Indiana beers slowly soaking in the flavor of an Indiana bourbon. It doesn’t get any better than that. The style for the brewers is wide open for any beer they feel would be enhanced with a several month barrel soak. The event will be held at Tomlinson Tap on Saturday, September 29th, as an anchor to National Bourbon Heritage month.

This event will run in a similar format to our standard tournaments. We’re featuring 8 brewers instead of the usual 16. We’ll actually be delivering the beer to the participants at their table and pouring it there, to keep a fun social element with the smaller crowd. Between rounds we’ll offer tastings of Harrison Bourbon to compliment the beers being tasted.

Event Details:
Saturday September 29th, 6-9PM
Tomlinson Tap Room in the City Market, Indianapolis
Ticket price: $45 (early bird special of $40 through July 29)
Tickets available here (http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/258994)

Brew Bracket is the only one of its kind, a true tasting tournament for local craft beer. Participating brewers bring a similar style of beer for each event and are seeded randomly into a bracket. Participants blindly taste the beer 2 glasses at a time and vote for their favorites based on taste alone. Over the course of the day winning beers advance through the tournament until a “best beer” is selected at the end of the event.
