Sun King expands to college towns
This past Wednesday, Yelp brought together Sun King and FARM Bloomington to host a Bloomington release party to celebrate Sun King's expansion in to the Indiana University college town. Most of our readers are from the Indianapolis area, so many of you may not have realized that the state's fastest growing brewery was, until recently, only available in Indianapolis and the surrounding suburbs. Sun King is now available in the ring of college towns that surround Indianapolis - Lafayette, Muncie and Bloomington. The increase in demand outside of Indianapolis will be possible thanks to their newly installed 30 barrel brewhouse. Now college kids have one less reason to drink crap while expanding their minds with the tomes of knowledge. And to perhaps answer a question in advance, Sun King is still self-distributing.
Thanks to Yelp, Sun King and FARM Bloomington for hosting this event. The bar space in the basement of FARM Bloomington was very cool!
Man I hate sun king's graphic design, if you can even call it that...
ReplyDeleteI'm really happy to see Sun King expanding into the surrounding areas. Up here in Lafayette a few have started to show up on taps and we can get their baseline brews in cans. I do hope they start packaging a few others in the future, but I'm just glad to see good beer from around here.
